Best Tips on Self-Awareness and How to Appreciate Your Amazing Life

I was siting in class the other day, while the instructor asked us what we tend to notice about certain things like what we notice about ourselves and out surroundings. While we are going for a walk, being in a large city, being stuck in a traffic game, night time vs. day time, and what we notice about our emotions can help us to slow down and reduce our stress as we appreciate the little things in life. It can help us to me more mindful about or personal awareness and our social awareness.

I was so inspired what I learn that day, that I just had to share it with you!

Here is my list of the things I notice:


1. An evening in the Country:


  • I can see all of the stars in the sky,

  • The quiet wind that rustles in the trees,

  • The calming sound of crickets,

  • The little light bugs flying around,

  • The fresh earthy smell of the clear air,

  • Feeling relaxed and at ease.


2. An Evening in the City:

  • The sound of cars as they drive by after a long day at work,

  • The music coming from your neighbors living below,

  • Hearing loud cries from a baby in a stroller,

  • Horns honking and road rage,

  • The smell of factory smoke,

  • Feeling like I cannot fully relax.


Other Random Things I notice:


  • The sound of a crackling bonfire,

  • How eye can shine in the light,

  • The joy of hearing a baby laugh,

  • The beauty in all the colors of nature,

  • The wide array of birds in the sky,

  • The sound of rain hitting a window,

  • Sitting inside on a winter day, watching the snow fall.

  • Feeling like life is truly beautiful and amazing.
